Vucic wrote in an Instagram post that he introduced Sorensen “to the issues faced by our people in Kosovo and Metohija”. “I expressed special concern about the difficult position of Serbs in KiM due to numerous escalatory, unilateral, and violent actions by Pristina,” Vucic wrote using the name for Kosovo in the Serbian constitution.
He accused the Kosovo authorities of “constant obstructions” during the EU-facilitated dialogue. He added that Pristina has refused to form the Community of Serb Municipalities which, according to him, “is a prerequisite for the beginning of substantial normalization of relations”.
“I emphasized the expectation that the EU will intensify its engagement in order to preserve the credibility of the dialogue and maintain an impartial role in this process. I reiterated Serbia’s position that only constructive dialogue and compromise solutions can contribute to long-term peace and stability in the Western Balkans,” Vucic wrote.
