Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic denied ordering the military to a higher state of combat readiness in the Raska area bordering Kosovo.

He said that the military was conducting regular activities. Movements by military units in the Raska area were reported earlier.

“When we raised combat readiness to the highest level there were a lot of our soldiers there but that is not the case now. Regular activities have been stepped up. We are training the army to be strong, have exercises and if there is any raising of combat readiness you will be informed immediately,” Vucic told reporters in New York.
