Vucic discusses Kosovo, Bosnia, NIS with Lavrov
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he discussed Kosovo, Bosnia and possible sanctions against the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
He wrote in an Instagram post that he had a comprehensive phone conversation with Lavrov. “I informed Minister Lavrov, as the representative of a UN member state, that Pristina is trying to ban the Serb List from the coming elections, violating all acts of international law,” he wrote.
Vucic added that they both expressed concern over the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republika Srpska and that they discussed the announced US sanctions against the NIS which is co-owned by the Russian state Gazprom company. “We agreed on a meeting of Serbian and Russian experts as soon as the American sanctions are put in place,” he wrote.
“We confirmed the friendship between our countries,” he added.
