Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that he discussed Open Balkan Initiative events with the Prime Ministers of Albania and North Macedonia, Edi Rama and Dimitar Kovacevski.

He said in an Instagram post that they discussed an initiative working group meeting in Tirana later this month and a wine and food fair in Belgrade in September.

“We agreed that the fair is an excellent and unique event which we believe will turn into a friendly tradition and a promotion of our three countries as well as an opportunity for producers in the region to join in and present their best and exclusive products,” Vucic wrote.

He added that the working group will discuss the energy industry, food security and finances when it meets in the capital of Albania.

A short press release from the President’s cabinet just said that Vucic talked via video link with Rama and Kovacevski.
