Vucic: Events in Novi Sad were evil laid bare

Speaking at a tunnel construction site on the Novi Sad-Ruma highway, Vucic said he took a long time to “pluck up the courage” to phone Novi Sad University Faculty of Sport and Physical Education Patrik Drid following the violent events on Monday. “That man was lynched solely because he wanted to do his job. I’m not satisfied with the work of the police and I’ll say just that and stop,” he told reporters.

Vucic said that “the severe consequences of the crimes committed against Serbia over the past 6 months” caused a drop in projected growth rates. According to him, the student protesters caused the crisis which mainly affects the services industry.
