Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic informed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Affairs Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “in detail about the violence that is committed against the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.”
Vucic attended on Wednesday evening a reception hosted by the UAE Foreign Affairs Minister on the occasion of the 78th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
“We exchanged opinions on the most important issues on the agenda of the UN General Assembly session, and I informed Sheikh Abdullah in detail about the violence that is committed against the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” Vucic said in an Instagram post, noting that he asked the friendly UAE to use its influence and help protect the Serbs in Kosovo and their survival.
Vucic added that he asked Sheikh Al Nahyan to convey “warm greetings and expressions of deep appreciation” to the UAE President, with the expectation that he will visit Serbia again.
“I reiterated that I am particularly proud of our friendship, and of the fact that one of the most influential world leaders considers our country an important partner and personally pays great attention to further strengthening relations with Serbia,” wrote Vucic.
