The hotel in the southern Serbian city of Nis that put up a picture of the President across its facade saw its ratings drop overnight.

Opponents of the huge picture of Aleksandar Vucic over all 15 floors of the hotel cast votes on Google overnight lowering the ratings of the Ambassador Hotel in protest. The ratings dropped from 4.6 to 1 by midnight.

Workers have been putting up the picture for the past few days, ever since the president’s visit to Nis was announced. The vote rating protest started when the words Welcome President were put up. The comments on Google mainly mentioned dirty windows and stains, alluding to the image of Vucic.

Earlier, the owner of the hotel said the caterers, business people, athletes and the general public want to surprise the president and thank him for his help during the pandemic.

Prior to the drop in ratings, pictures of the facade of the Ambassador Hotel appeared on social media networks, most with negative comments.
