Vucic: Linglong plant biggest greenfield investment

Vucic toured the plant prior to the start of serial production. According to unofficial reports, the plant started production in 2023.

An Instagram post on Vucic’s Future of Serbia profile said that the investment was worth 800 million Euro and would provide almost 1,900 jobs. Vucic is reported to have told the opening ceremony that the factory would export goods worth up to 200 million Euro this year and up to 500 million in 2025.

“This is the biggest greenfield investment ever in Serbia. Ever!… 1,235 workes have already been hired and they want to hire another 600. I am very happy over this and the public will see the benefits. Thanks to our Chinese friends,” the post said.

Earlier on Friday, a local civil society organization leader was arrested near the Chinese plant.
