Vucic, Rama, Kovacevski discuss EU-WB Summit

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that he discussed the coming European Union – Western Balkans summit with the Prime Ministers of Albania and North Macedonia, Edi Rama and Dmitar Kovacevski.
He said in an Instagram post that their decision to attend the summit or not would be announced on Wednesday. “We agreed to consult with our governments and advisors and announce the decision on the summit in Brussels at noon tomorrow,” he said.
According to Vucic, they also exchanged views on steps that their Open Balkan Initiative should take, including their next meeting. “We are fighting for clear prospects for the Western Balkans, stronger cooperation and better links,” he said.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a Twitter post that he doesn’t think the countries of the region will get the go ahead for further European integration. “It seems that another "No,sorry!" is gonna be what we will hear at the end! The whole Union kidnapped by Bulgaria it is not a good spectacle to watch! What to do there?!”, Rama wrote.
The EU-Western Balkans summit is scheduled for Thursday, June 23 in Brussels.
