Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said student protesters will announce in the coming days that their new demand is the formation of a transitional Government, adding that this will never happen and that a new government will be formed in line with the Constitution and legal deadlines.
“Their demand is basically a change of government and a color revolution, under orders coming from abroad. This will be clear to everyone in the next few days. But there will be no transitional government. The way things are now, a Government will be formed in line with the Constitution and legal deadlines, and we will preserve Serbia,” Vucic told Serbian reporters in Bulgaria.
He said that no matter what the Serbian authorities do to meet the student demands, it will never be enough because a transitional government is their core demand.
“Whatever we do, it will never be enough and it will all boil down to them demanding an expert, transitional or Djilas Government. That is all they will ask for,” said Vucic. Dragan Djilas is the leader of the opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP).
