Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic refused to comment the KRIK investigative portal’s report on who killed Kosovo Serb opposition leader Oliver Ivanovic.

KRIK quoted businessman Boban Bogdanovic who named the man who killed Ivanovic in front of his party offices in Mitrovica in 2018 as Ljubomir Lainovic, adding that the murder was ordered by Kosovo businessman and alleged underworld figure Zvonko Veselinovic.

“The competent bodies should do their job and it’s better not to react to senseless stories and lies,” Vucic told the pro-regime TV Pink. “I can’t even comment that,” he said when asked about Bogdanovic’s interview for KRIK.

Later on Wednesday, Interior Minister Aleksandar Vucic reiterated that Bogdanovic, a.k.a. Rat as he said, refused to take a polygraph test and provided no evidence to support his claims about Ivanovic's murder.

According to a KRIK journalist who interviewed Bogdanovic, he did not refuse a lie detector, but asked to take it some other day and with his attorney present. He also offered all communication he had with the alleged killer, adding he would be a witness but demanded state protection.

"MUP submits a criminal report (against Bogdanovic) for failing to pass on information about the crime and the perpetrator," Vulin told a news conference, adding MUP expected prosecutors' quick reaction.
