Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) activists painted the facades of apartment buildings in the Liman neighborhood of Novi Sad into the colors of the Serbian tricolor, painting over graffiti and artwork by local residents. Local people came out in force with some of them being assaulted by the SNS activists. The local residents painted over the three colors which they said were not the national tricolor but were painted to resemble the SNS logo.
Vucic told a news conference that that the Liman residents “don’t like the Serbian tricolor”. “Patriots restored that red, blue and white and repainted later. They were not afraid, they were attacked,”- he said.
He said that the Serbian tricolor is like red to a bull. “They hate nothing more than the Serbian tricolor,” Vucic said.
