“Serbia enters the next year with healthy finances and ready to face everything that the future brings us,” he told the opening of the conference ‘The Economist: World in 2022’ held in Serbia’s Parliament.
In the meantime, the European Union opened a new cluster with Serbia in the accession negotiations.
Vucic said Serbia was prepared to solve all challenges, from current to that, humankind would still seem like a possible new pandemic or the energy, food or drinking water shortages.
“There is a lot of increasing challenges daily. He said energy becomes a new powerful weapon, adding it was a big issue for energy-dependent countries to deal with the crisis.
“If we want clean energy, we’ll have to decide for ourselves, like during the pandemic,” Vucic said and added that 68 percent of energy in Serbia came from coal while the rest was from renewable sources and that the latter should increase in future.
