Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Saturday that the next elections will be held either in March or in April 2022, as prescribed by the law.

In an interview with Blic, he said that he did not see the need for the presidential and parliamentary elections to be separated, and that he was ready to talk about it, and that speculations about the early elections were „nonsense“.

„As for the elections in Belgrade, I believe that our political opponents have a huge chance, that they are the favorites in those elections, that our chances are small, but we will fight,“ said Vucic.

Speaking about the beginning of the dialogue with the representatives of the opposition, the President of Serbia and the Serbian Progressive Party said that it „didn’t even cross his mind“ to fulfil someone’s wishes, instead, he plans to do something that is „fair and essentially democratic.“
