Following his meeting with ambassadors of Quint countries and the head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he won’t “say a word” about the meeting.

Vucic had a meeting Wednesday morning with the ambassadors of the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany, and the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia.

Following the talks the Serbian President posted a message on Instagram saying that he will not say a single word about the meeting, while his office also failed to issue a press release as it usually does.

“I have decided not to say a single word about the meeting with the representatives of Quint countries and the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia. I believe this is best for everyone,” Vucic wrote on Instagram.

Former Serbian President Boris Tadic told N1 that Vucic violated the constitution by refusing to divulge details of his meeting with Quint ambassadors. “Talks like those can have an aspect of secrecy for various justified reasons but even then the President is obliged to disclose basic information, especially on issues of importance to the future of the state and its citizens,” he said.

The topic of the meeting, which was also attended by head of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Petar Petkovic, was the situation in the north of Kosovo.

Quint representatives spoke Tuesday with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on ways to overcome the crisis triggered by the forced entry of newly elected mayors into municipal buildings in four northern Kosovo municipalities with the assistance of KFOR and Kosovo Police.
