Vucic tells N1 journalist born in Kosovo to „not talk about“ Serbs in Kosovo

Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, told an N1 journalist to “not talk about our people in Kosovo” because he didn’t like her question. The journalist, who asked what will happen with Serbs who refuse to replace their Serbian license plates, was herself born in the north of Kosovo.

The deadline for reregistration of vehicles with Serbian license plates to Kosovo plates with concessions in Kosovo has expired. This created panic among people because they do not have clear guidelines on what to do with their cars, the Kossev portal reported on Friday.

To N1’s question about what those people should expect, Vucic responded:

„They don’t always expect answers from me. But you are already trying, even as you repeat the same lies, the same platitudes a hundred times, to do something against me. Don’t talk about our people in Kosovo, our people know that this has nothing to do with me, but with Kurti’s lack of respect of the agreement he agreed to,” Vucic said.

„Yesterday you asked me the same question in Novi Pazar, and I have no problem with that, I have a problem with the reality in which someone discriminates against the Serb people and does not give the Serbs the opportunity to have what was agreed upon. And Peter Stano confirms my every word and says that the agreement regarding the license plates has no time limit or deadlines. What do you expect me to do: to go there with tanks? And then you would say I took us back to the 90s. If I fight through negotiations, then, as you can see, it’s not enough for you,“ he said.
