Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that he told Quint ambassadors that KFOR should take over from the police in the north of Kosovo.

“I reiterated Serbia’s views on the latest events in Kosovo and asked for KFOR to take over all security issues in the north of Kosovo instead of (Prime Minister Albin) Kurti’s police,” Vucic wrote in an Instagram post following his meeting with the ambassadors of the US, Great Britain, France, Itay, Germany and the European Union Delegation chief.

Vucic said that he also asked why the Kosovo Police refused to allow an EULEX presence in the operation in northern Kosovo.

The meeting comes after the armed incident at the Banjska monastery when a Kosovo Police sergeant and several members of an armed group of Kosovo Serbs were killed.
