Vucic to Serbian actors: In a dictatorship, you wouldn't even be paid

Speaking at the Serbian progressive party (SNS) convention in Kragujevac, Vucic said that a hundred times more money is invested in the filming of series and movies today compared to the period when his party was not in power.

"When you're already taking the money you deserve because you're good artists, don't talk about a dictatorship, because in a dictatorship you wouldn't be able to get that money even as an offer," said Vucic.

Actors who publicly criticized the government and supported the protest against violence have repeatedly found themselves the target of criticism from people close to the regime in recent days.
