Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic continued his re-election campaign in northern Serbia on Wednesday, telling voters that elections are not a game and calling for unity.

The leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) said that “elections are not a game … the state is not a toy” and added voters can’t just watch TV and think that “someone talks nicely and promises all kinds of things”.

“We need to be together in these hard times, united to save our country and the future of our children,” Vucic said during meetings with local people of four towns in Vojvodina.

He said that the interests of the country have to observed to “do what we can for ourselves and our children, for our Serbia”.

“We want to compete with everyone in results and be first in economy, more successful than others, let our actions say it all because want we say we do,” he said.
