Vucic: US sanctions on NIS postponed for 30 days
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the United States has postponed sanctions against the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) for an additional 30 days.
“We did it. We secured another 30-day deferral of NIS sanctions. Thanks to all the people in Serbia who fought for this and to our American partners for their understanding. We have preserved stability and are setting Serbia back on the paths to success,” Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
The sanctions were scheduled to take effect Saturday at 6 am local time.
