Vucic said in an Instagram post that he visited the young man at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade, expressing the hope that the young man would recover.

“I visited Vukasin Crncevic, a young man injured in the fall of the awning in Novi Sad on November 1. Vukasin is a brave and strong boy and I believe love, prayer and the support of his mother Vesna and all of us will give him the strength to fight for his life…. A short wave by Vukasin restored our faith and the hope that miracles are possible,” Vucic wrote in the post.

The Novi Sad Railway Station tragedy led to public protests and the student takeover of university schools across the country to demand accountability from the authorities.
