Vucic, Vucevic at military demonstration

Vucic and Prime Minister Milos Vucevic Zastava 2024 demonstration of the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces today at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlovic Military Airport in Batajnica, a government press release said.

The president recalled that significant investments have been made into armament and that military salaries have nearly quadrupled. “We will continue to modernise our army, all with the aim of deterring a potential aggression against our territory, he said, noting that it is common knowledge that Serbia has no aggressive or offensive intentions,” he is quote as saying.

Some 6,000 Defense Ministry and military personnel took part in Zastava 2024 presenting about 2,500 weapons, equipment and 50 aircraft.

Zastava 2024 was originally scheduled for September 15, the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, but was postponed due to bad weather.
