Vucic: Wozniak gets Serbian passport

President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak would be granted Serbian citizenship.

Vucic told a news conference after a meeting with Wozniak in the Presidency building that Serbian passports would be issued to Wozniak and his wife Janet Hill. He said that Wozniak was covering the expenses of his visit to Serbia and was not brought in by any politician.

Wozniak is reported to have said that his visit to Belgrade was organized by his friend Serbian tennis player Janko Tipisarevic. He said that he would call himself a Serbian living in the US and added that Serbia has huge potential which can be presented at the specialized EXPO 2027.

Wozniak and Hill are in Europe to visit the countries of the Danube basin.

Vucic has granted citizenship to other foreign public figures such as American actor Johnny Depp.
