War Crimes witness found dead in Kosovo

The Kosovo Policy Service confirmed that Fadil Sileviqi’s body was found on the banks of the lake on Friday afternoon but gave no details about his death. Police Spokesman Bajram Krasniqi said that the police was called in around 2 pm and contacted the family after identifying the body and calling in a state prosecutor.

Sileviqi was summoned to appear before the Specialist Chambers as a witness. His name was released in a public indictment. Two Kosovo Albanians who were sentenced to prison terms for the murder of five members of an Albanian family accused Sileviqi of having framed them for the murders.
