A large cache of weapons, ammunition, military and police equipment was seized in Zvecan, northern Kosovo, and a former Kosovo police officer was detained, KoSSev reported.
The Kosovo Police has linked this seizure to previous weapons seizures in the North, primarily to the September 24, 2023 incident in the Banjska village in northern Kosovo, for which Kosovo Serb Milan Radoicic has accepted responsibility. One Kosovo police officer and three Serbs were killed in this incident.
Even though they called an emergency press conference in the Serb-dominated Mitrovica North to present information on a large seizure of weapons in the municipality of Zvecan involving “a group of Serb terrorists led by Milan Radoicic,” while also mentioning the Serbian President, the two Kosovo Police highest-ranking officials, Internal Affairs Minister Xhelal Svecla and Kosovo Police Director Gazmend Hoxha, failed to provide translation into Serbian, initially addressing reporters only in Albanian, reported KoSSev.
On the insistence of a number of reporters speaking in Serbian, Svecla provided some but not all summarized information.
