Almost eleven months after the conflict in the Banjska village in northern Kosovo, weapons and military equipment have been discovered at the Rajska Banja hotel in the village, reported the KoSSev portal.
Police suspect that this may be leftover material evidence from the September 24 clash in Banjska, it said.
Deputy Commander of the Kosovo Police Region North Veton Elshani confirmed that an additional inspection was carried out at the hotel, which the Kosovo Police had shut down immediately after the Banjska clash. It was taken over by the Kosovo Privatization Agency three months later, said KoSSev.
The inspection revealed two bulletproof vests, an A-47 assault rifle (Kalashnikov), eight ammunition magazines, and other military gear.
The portal recalled that clashes broke out on September 24, 2023 in Banjska between a group of armed Serbs led by Milan Radoicic, and the Kosovo police, in which one Kosovo police officer and three members of the armed group were killed, while three other Serbs were arrested.
