The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Belgrade office said on Thursday that Serbia leads the field in terms of coronavirus cases.
Speaking live on the pro-government TV Prva, Dr Marijan Ivanusa appealed for the public to get vaccinated and abide by all recommended measures. He warned that the delta strain is dominant and the most dangerous of the coronavirus strains.
According to Ivanusa, the appeals for vaccination and measures are running late. “You’re running late once the epidemiological situation deteriorates,” he said.
