Wife of arrested police officer Sladjan Trajkovic told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that she was told in south Mitrovica that her husband has been arrested, taken to Pristina and charged with war crimes.
“I went to the southern part of Mitrovica, to the station, however, they were unpleasant there. I went with my little daughter. We waited for over an hour. First they shouted at us, barely let us in, and then they threw us out,” Suzana Trajkovic told RTS.
She noted that she just wanted information on whether it was true that her husband had been arrested and to learn where he was being held.
“We have information that he has been transferred to Pristina, that we cannot see him and that he has been charged with war crimes,” said Suzana Trajkovic, adding that she asked what war crimes were at issue, after 23 years, since her husband was an employee of the Internal Affairs Ministry.
“As you can see, there is no justice for the Serbs. We cannot put up with this terror any longer,” she said.
The family lives in the Bosnjacka Mahala neighborhood in north Mitrovica, and has three children, reported RTS.
