WW 2 bomb found at Belgrade Waterfront site

It said that the British 1,000 lb Mks I 500 kilogram bomb will be destroyed at a safe location on Saturday, August 9. Belgrade was heavily bombed by allied forces towards the end of WW 2.

“Personnel of the MUP Emergency Situations Sector identified and assessed the explosive war-time remnant to prepare its removal, transport and destruction. The aerial bomb will be removed in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 9 to a secure location for destruction,” the press release said.
