Young woman injured in Novi Sad canopy collapse out of intensive care, says doctor

Head of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina Clinic for anesthesia, intensive care and pain therapy Teodora Tubic said that the young woman who was severely injured in the canopy collapse at the Novi Sad train station is now out of intensive care.

“She is stable, and no longer in the intensive care unit, she is now on the regular ward. Decisions regarding her health continue to be made through a multidisciplinary approach, and the necessary bandage changes have been reduced,” said Tubic.

She added that she hopes the patient will soon be moved to rehabilitation or return home, as she is making good progress.

On November 1, 2024 a concrete canopy at the recently renovated main train station in the city of Novi Sad collapsed, killing 15 people and severely injuring two.
