The decision on the fifth national broadcasting license will be on the agenda following the conclusion of the Nova S legal proceedings against the Serbian Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) “which sued us for breaking the deadline for the award of the fifth national broadcasting frequency,” REM Council chair Olivera Zekic told Danas.
“The court should first finish its job, and then we will decide,” said Zekic, Danas reported.
When we remarked that proceedings before the Administrative Court can take years, Zekic replied: “It will take as long as it takes,” Danas reported.
“We cannot interfere in the work of the judicial bodies. Did anyone force them to sue us? No. I’m just sorry that all other interested television stations will also have to wait,” said Zekic.
Nova S sued the regulator REM for not making a decision on issuing a fifth national broadcasting within the legal deadline.
